Our Story
Why we Started Safe Steps Digital
Safe Steps Digital was born from witnessing too many people fall victim to scams that could have been prevented with the right knowledge.
We've seen church members lose their inheritance to phone scams. We've watched friends click on fake delivery texts and lose thousands. We've heard too many stories of grandparents giving away their savings because a voice on the phone sounded exactly like their grandchild.
"After a close friend lost $60,000 to an OTP scam — her late father's inheritance — we knew we had to do something. Technology should empower people, not put them at risk."
We realized that most "tech support" services focus on fixing devices or teaching features. But that's not what people need most. What they need is to understand safe behaviors — how to spot a scam, how to verify what's real, how to protect their money and personal information.
So we created Safe Steps Digital: a service that teaches digital safety through patient, judgment-free education. We don't just tell you what buttons to press. We help you understand why scams work, how to recognize them, and what to do to stay protected.
